i try not to bandwagon unless something deserves it, generally speaking. my friend invited me to the midnight showing of new moon, and i agreed because i was curious. i went into it knowing there was a vampire, a girl, and a werewolf. I had not read any of the books nor seen the first movie.

my reaction is as follows:

based on JUST the second movie: team jacob. i want to wash my clothes on his abs.

my friend gave me the book so that i may educate myself. i'll concede that it is not poorly written, but having read dozens of books and seen plenty of vampire movies- stephanie meyers is not my favourite, nor do i find her writing style particularly appealing. she's not terrible, and i don't want to burn her books, but they are directed at a much younger crowd than has become obsessed with them. this based on my reading of the first book. i'll read the others and maybe they'll be a little different, but perhaps not. i don't see the reasoning behind all of the hype and i was not clinging to the book thinking MY GOD WHAT NEXT- and trust me, i have read books like that. I have impulsively bought sequels because of that. I look forward to the others, sure, but my happiness does not rest upon them.





however, should taylor lautner ever desire an older, experienced, not celebrity woman i'll be glad to make adorable tan babies for him, as long as we practice a lot first. and i get to wash my clothes on his abs.
